How long after I start training should I anticipate results?
In general, a client of Soundbody Personal Training will notice significant results in 5 weeks...In some cases, much sooner!

I want to keep my feminine womanly figure...Will weights make me bulky?
Different people have different goals...At Soundbody Personal training we will tailor your workout to meet those goals...Due to a lack of a significant amount of the hormone testosterone in the bloodstream of women, a Soundbody Personal Training program will not make you "bulk up" if that is not your desired goal

I only want to lose the fat around my stomach, Is that possible?
No...Many trainers will tell you that they can "make" you lose weight in a particular area, which is sometimes referred to as "spot reduction"...If you research this you will find that the body will physiologically regulate "Where" the body will lose fat from first...You can lose fat from your waistline, however you may find that you will lose fat in your back or hips first.

If I am working out regularly (3 to 4x per week), how much water should I be drinking daily?
In general, an active human being should consume atleast half of their body weight in ounces of water per day...Also, a good habit for an athlete is to is to weigh yourself before and after a workout and replace every pound of fluid lost with 16 ounces of water.

I have heard from some people that soy is good for you, & from some that it's bad-what's the answer?
The good things about soy are that they are low glycemic, good for the heart, and have many anti-cancer properties...However, the bad thing about soy is that it causes the body to make a Higher amount of estrogen-the "female" hormone...thus men, and women, who would like to synthesize more protein for muscular growth, and keep all of the testosterone that the body naturally produces, should probably use it sparringly.
